I love just about everything Erik is doing these days, but i keep coming back to this one as I re-read an old textbook from art school about the influence of Bay Area painters in the early 1960's.

The Books

I've been a big fan of The Books for a while but trust me, to get the full effect you have to see them live. They create interesting video collages from found audio and video sources and then play a perfectly synched and mesmerizing live mix of loopy guitar/cello sounds in front of the screen. Just like chocolate and peanut butter, it becomes more than the sum of it's parts.

Their music is also used in the fantastic documentary In a Dream which you must see right away.
